QUIRK: WING DECAY

Hayato has long black feathers that can be used for flight and can telekinetically be under his control. However when his feathers turn grey, they will decay whatever it touches. This works for non living and living things. This side of his quirk he gets from Shigaraki.SPEED: He is slower than his dad Hawks but can still maintain a high speed. He is best compared to crows. His top speed can be 70 mph, 80 mph if he pushes himself.TELEPATHY: Since his feathers can be controlled telepathically he can launch them as projectiles to attack others or to catch things. There is a limit as to how heavy an object can be but he can carry humans.FEATHER BLADES: He can use two long feathers from his wings and use them as swords. If not he will slap enemies with his wings to send them flying. When not using his feathers he will use his long black nails for scratching or ripping.FIGHT STYLE: Defensive. Does not like to use his wings against people but will do so if in real danger. He just wont activate his decay unless it is a last resort or his life truly is at risk.
- He Is trained in MMA for close combat fighting.SENSE: He has his dad’s sense of detecting vibrations and sounds through his feathers. He can find people’s locations and decode conversations.WEAKNESS: Just like Hawks, the more feathers he uses the less he can fly. This is more affected when he activates his decay ability. The feathers will take a while to grow back to their original form, since the feather itself also decays with the item. If he uses all his feathers it takes about 2-3 days for them to grow back. He is also vulnerable to fire.COMPARISON: His quirk is mostly related to Hawks, he just lacks the distinct red color and is more dangerous to be around.NOT ALLOWED: Although he has grown to control how and when his feathers decay, he does not trust them. He does not allow anyone to touch his wings. No exceptions.

MHA Universe Lore: Off canon (non canon accurate but still in this universe)Prologue:Hawks was the number 2 hero and Shigaraki was a villain.As a spy, Hawks was sent to get information from the LOV. Dabi had served as their middle man until one night they met in person. He needed to get information out of him, but Shigaraki wasn’t about to spill the beans to him. One thing led to another and they had a one night stand. Hawks didn’t get the information he needed.(For this off canon universe, the LOV isn’t affiliated with AFO but the commission still wants to keep tabs on the group and their next move since they commit crimes often.)Since they didn’t use protection, Hawks ended up getting pregnant. He was mad at himself. Mad for being so dumb and thinking that if he actually slept with him he might get information out of him.He had to leave public life. He wouldn’t be able to be a hero if he was pregnant. That, along with who he got pregnant by would stir up more drama. After all, why would a hero be caught up with a villain in the first place?Endeavor was the first to know, not because he wanted to tell him but because he had no choice. He would not be able to explain why he needed to take a vacation. Endeavor did not know he was trans either.The news of his transition and child were shocking but he didn't have much else to say over the matter. The way he raised his kids wasn't the best choice either.He made an announcement to the public that he would go on a long vacation and that was that. Endeavor understood this choice and supported him.Hawks stood out of the public eye in his home for his pregnancy. Endeavor and Miruko (who he eventually told) helped him get whatever he needed if his wings couldn’t get it for him.He didn’t mind too much. He never wanted to do outstanding work as a hero anyway. He just wanted to lay back and relax. He was just so good that he ended up being number 2.Hawks did not tell Shigaraki he was pregnant.~~~~Hayato’s Birth:Hayato Takami was born on November 2nd. Hawks gave birth at home in his bathtub since he could not go to the hospital. Miruko showed up afterwards to help.Hayato means fast, bravery and speed, like the wind. Hawks gave him his own last name. This was also to not have Hayato’s true father be a dead giveaway. The name Hayato was fitting since he was born with wings. Only thing that differed was that his wings were black. Maybe it had to do with his quirk or it just matched his hair color.Hayato was born with black hair. This puzzled Hawks because Shigaraki had grayish/blue hair. He would have to go look at files to answer this question but at least no one could guess who the father was. Hayato has his golden eyes and his natural eyeliner marks.The Public Eye:Rumors kept circling about why Hawks was taking a very long break and how he was no longer number 2 in the ranks, so eventually he held a press conference and announced that he had a child.The reporters went crazy trying to figure out who was the mother of the child (they did not know Hawks was trans) but Hawks did not provide any answers. All he wished for was for privacy. A little ironic considering now people would be on his case even more since announcing he had a kid but there was no other way to avoid the conversation. Even using the excuse of grieving a lost one wouldn’t work with how much time it has been.Shigaraki found out through the news on TV about the kid. He had his own suspicions and questions on the matter.Telling Shigaraki:Through Dabi, Shigaraki was able to get Hawks contact info and talk to him over the phone. He wanted to know if the kid was his.Hawks was hesitant to confirm whether Hayato was his or not. He didn’t want Shigaraki to hurt him or influence him to become a villain.He only agreed to share his name if he didn’t hurt him or have bad intentions. Once he confirmed the kid was his, he shared his name with him.Shigaraki didn’t have any interest in being a parent. He couldn’t really believe he was a parent. He felt conflicted and not ready at all. He still would have liked to see him once though. He kept that thought to himself.The only thing he warned Hawks about was his quirk. Hawks said that Hayato had wings, so the likelihood of him having a decay quirk was low. After all, he didn’t have the same quirk his parents did.First Quirk Appearance:Most people had their quirks show up at the age of three, but Hayato’s didn’t show up until the age of 5. This didn’t bother Hawks because he assumed that because he had wings, that was his quirk and Shigaraki’s decay quirk didn’t transfer over. He was wrong.Hayato was in his room one day playing with his toys. He learned quickly how to get his feathers to separate from his wings to get things he wanted or needed. As he went to pick up a toy truck with a feather, the feather turned gray and the toy decayed. This shook Hayato as he did not understand why the toy disappeared. Suddenly his feathers started landing on other objects and decaying them. He got so scared that he screamed.Hawks came into the room to assess the situation and saw that his wings were turning gray and his feathers were decaying objects.He had to act fast to make sure that the decayed wings didn’t touch the floor and make the building crumble (Hayato would not have been strong enough to do this but Hawks didn’t take any chances), so he lifted Hayato up with his wings and tried to console him in the air. Not only did he have to focus on him but he had to focus his feathers to catch any loose feathers that were falling.It hit Hawks hard the realization that Hayato would have a tough life ahead of him. He was angry at himself all over again for giving a child to a man with such a dangerous quirk.Eventually Hayato calmed down and Hawks was able to console him properly. Hawks had to admit that he was scared of one of Hayato’s feathers landing on him but he was still his parent. He had to do what he had to do.Shigaraki and Hayato’s Quirk:Shigaraki didn’t meet Hayato until his quirk showed up at age 5. Hawks didn’t know how to really manage such a dangerous quirk. It wasn’t his field either.When Hayato met him, he was really scared. Shigaraki took pity on him as he remembered how he once looked like that. Hayato told him that he didn’t want to hurt him. Shigaraki crouched down in front of Hayato with a piece of paper in his hand and decayed it with his fingers. He told him that he was his father and that he understood what he was going through. It was at that moment that Hayato gave him his first hug.Hayato and Shigaraki were in each other's lives from time to time. He helped him with his quirk. He told him that hero society wasn't what it was meant to be and that they treated others less than them poorly. Hayato would remember this for the rest of his life.Hayato met the LOV against Hawks's wishes but they all treated him good like family. There was a time where Twice made Hayato a clone but couldn't keep it up forever, so Hayato cried when he felt like his friend was taken away. Toga always babied him. Compress taught him how to play chess. Dabi didn't really bother with him. Spinner treated him well too. Hayato didn't live with them though.Child Life:Hayato grew up to be very fearful of others touching him and as a result, he was always alone. He was the quiet type.Eventually his identity was revealed to the public when he had to enter school. At first the kids thought he was cool because he was the son of the number two hero, but with how scared Hayato was of everyone, they began to tease him. They saw him as weak and didn’t think he was really the son of a great hero. It was a lot of pressure to live up to, even from a young age. Children began to fear him when they found out about his quirk. They always taunted him by saying he could kill people.Fear and anger led him to fight a lot in school. He is the type to bottle up his emotions until he explodes. Since he has retractable black nails as claws, he would scratch kids to get away from him.A New Family Addition:As Hayato grew older, Hawks and Endeavor’s relationship grew closer. Endeavor helped Hayato as best as he could but still didn’t like to interfere much. His weakness only reminded him of how he failed Touya, and so he was unsure of how to help him. If he had a fire quirk, it would have been easier.Hawks and Endeavor didn’t have children on their mind. Hawks had his and Endeavor had 4 of his own. Hayato’s frequent outbursts about his quirk and teaching him how to use it was also something he needed to focus on, so cards weren’t on the table.That all changed when Hayato was 10. He was able to manage his quirk a little easier, so they thought they could progress their family. At this time, Kaen Todoroki was born on August 4th.Natsuo wasn’t happy Hawks was giving his father another child and swore that he would protect him from his father trying to use him for his own gain. Endeavor assured him that he would only train him and not go to extreme lengths but Natsuo didn’t believe him anyway.Fuyumi was happy with the news and Shoto was indifferent to it. He just congratulated them. To Hayato, his whole world came crashing down. Now they would have their own perfect family. They wouldn’t have to deal with a failure like him.The self inflicted incident:The day Kaen got his quirk at 3 was another life changing event for Hayato. Endeavor, Hawks and his kids all gathered around him to witness the moment. Kaen’s quirk allowed him to summon a phoenix from his chest (a little one at the time). He himself did not have any fire power but he had fire resistance. Later on in life he would discover that the wings of the phoenix could stay attached to his body and used for flight/evasion. The phoenix (named Yakeru) would grow bigger as Kaen got older. Hayato was 13.Kaen’s quirk made Hayato incredibly jealous and depressed. Sure Hawks and Shigaraki helped him deal with his quirk, but he still felt like it wasn’t a wonderful quirk like Kaen’s. Bitterness and anger piled on to how he already felt.One day, Hayato went to his room and activated his quirk. With all his feathers now gray, he closed them in on himself to see if he could decay his body. Unfortunately for him, it did not work. He felt so defeated. He was able to hurt everyone else but himself. He never told anyone about this incident.A Chance At Becoming A Hero:Hayato was given the choice to attend UA and enroll in the Hero Course if he wanted to. It wasn’t necessary because Hawks never went to UA and still became a hero through the commission.Hayato never had any thoughts of being a hero. He was so consumed by fear and anger and others feared him once they learned of his quirk. Still, he enrolled in the school and studied in the general education department. He almost didn’t make it in because of his fighting record but he still had good grades and his connection to Hawks helped him get in.Hawks questioned why he chose this but still supported his decision. He told him that he didn’t need to be a hero. Not because he didn’t believe in him but because he didn’t need to live up to the hero hype.Sports Festival and Meeting Titus (Para’s OC):Hayato took part in the sports festival just like the other students. Due to his ability to fly, he was able to make it to the finals with ease. It was here that he was able to meet Titus when they were paired up for the cavalry battle challenge. Hayato chose to be on his back to avoid anyone touching his wings, but it was because of this that he was able to block any attacks and take other team members' headbands.He and Titus were up against each other for the One Fighting Tournament. They were announced to the crowd as the children of the pro heroes. Titus was the child of Mic and Aizawa, so his quirk allowed him for people to hear high pitched noises by looking at them. Hayato could not handle the high pitched noise and was struggling greatly. He could’ve easily pushed Titus out of the ring, but he didn’t want to hurt him. At the last second, Titus accidentally blinked and Hayato being fed up with the noise took the opportunity to send his feathers his way and push him out of the ring. He won that round.Hayato did not win the sports festival. Some of the pro heros saw potential in him but most of them were disappointed. Since he was the son of a top hero, he should have won. They even talked about how he wasn't in the hero’s program. Hayato didn't hear about this until after the tournament.Titus went to congratulate him for winning the round, but Hayato was already upset about the rumors he heard. Titus told him not to listen to them, but Hayato brushed him off and left.(The winning decision may be biased because Hayato is my oc but here is how I view strengths based off of quirks and skill:What Hayato lacks in super strength he makes up for in speed. The fight lasted long because Hayato did not want to hurt Titus. However, his feathers were fast enough to make enough force and push him out of the ring.Hayato could not handle the noise Titus was making in his head. That is a weakness. If Hayato did not push Titus out of the ring and if he did not blink, Titus would have won.Titus does not have super strength but his quirk is great for immobilizing targets, no matter their strength or speed).The Aftermath of the Sports Festival (Hayato’s Suicide Attempt) - TW: Cutting, Blood - Skip this part if you are uncomfortableWhen Kaen turned 5, people became fascinated even more with his quirk. The bitterness and resentment only grew. Although he wasn't in the hero program, he was determined to prove that he could be worth something. He wasn't a fan of the attention, but he hoped his parents were watching. That's all that mattered.Hayato wasn't determined to win the sports festival that day but had hopes of someone noticing him. He thought that since he had made it that far, someone would at least be proud of him. Turns out he was wrong.Hayato was 15 at this time. That day he went home so upset and shut himself in his room, completely ignoring everyone who congratulated him at home for making it far. He just sat on the floor and put his head on his knees, making his wings embrace him almost like a hug.Late at night when he thought everyone was asleep, he did something drastic. He felt worthless and useless. He didn't feel like he had to be around anymore. Hawks had a family and a new child. They were a complete family. He looked down at his wrists/arms, made his nails sharper and began to cut himself with them in a long line. It was the only way he could actually hurt himself. He felt like he deserved it. He felt like a burden.At one point he was starting to feel dizzy due to the loss of blood. Hawks felt something was wrong since Hayato was so quiet coming home and his feathers sensed something off. He went to Hayato's room and knocked on the door to check on him but found him on the floor almost unresponsive. He rushed to carry him out of the house and to the nearest hospital. His cuts got stitched and he recovered.Hawks had to make the call to Shigaraki about what happened. Shigaraki was upset at Hawks when he saw the state his son was in. He blamed Hawks for the whole ordeal, claiming that he was trying to have this perfect family while ignoring that Hayato was truly suffering. He told him how heroes always neglect the ones closest to them, just like his family did.Hayato was in the hospital for a while. Word had gotten out that he was there because of how frantic Hawks showed up to the hospital, so when Titus heard the news he went to go visit him. Hayato was awake at this point.Titus was very happy that he was still here and talked his head off about how amazing he was at the sports festival. He didn't believe him but it felt nice to have someone believe in him. He was also shocked Titus cared this much after just meeting him. He was the only student who visited him. It was at this moment the two would become close friends.

When Hayato was cleared to leave the hospital, he took time off of school since his mental state was poor and he couldn't write due to injuring his arms. Eventually, Hawks hired a tutor who would help him with his studies when he stood home during the week. When it came to homework, Fuyumi would step in to help. Hayato was not allowed to be alone and always needed a buddy with him to watch him. Kaen wondered what happened to his big brother and wanted to play but they told him he couldn't while he recovered. Hayato would never really pay attention to him before.When Hayato went back to school, Titus would stand up for him whenever kids bothered him if he was around. Since Hayato bottled up his feelings, Titus could instantly tell when he was about to lash out and would always try to de-escalate the situation. He didn’t want Hayato to fight and get in trouble. He always sat with him during lunch time.On weekends he would go visit Shigaraki. He loved being away from home for a bit and the LOV was really understanding and helpful towards his feelings. He began to question why heroes hated villains so much when they were good people. It was the heroes that treated others poorly.Despite this, Hayato would never become a villain himself as he became an adult. He didn't want to do petty things for petty reasons. Still, if someone really needed help, he would step in. If he didn't want to help or felt like they weren't deserving of help, he would not. Labels didn't matter to him.Shigaraki and The LOV:Although Hayato stays with the LOV sometimes, Hawks never got them in trouble or called out their hiding places. As long as they treat him well and Hawks is aware of his location at all times, he never tells the commission or the police about their whereabouts. They never had a problem with this agreement.Parent Relationships:Hayato and Hawks have bumped heads plenty of times and at one point resented him for having another child. Now, he just lets things be. It is what it is. He doesn't hate him though.Hayato gets along more with Shigaraki because Shigaraki understands him better. He has tried to influence Hayato to leave her hero life and be a villain, but Hayato didn't want to do that. He didn't care about labels. He wanted to be free from that.Sibling relationship:Hayato resented Kaen for a long time. He felt nothing but anger and jealousy towards him and so he never wanted to be close to him. Kaen didn’t understand this at first but now that he’s 10, he feels the need to make it right with Hayato. Hayato, being 20 now feels indifferent to Kaen. He’ll talk to him and help him train if Hawks asks him to but that’s pretty much it. He doesn’t purposely seek him out for a bond. He will however protect him fiercely if his life is in danger. He’s still his brother after all.After Grad:Hayato and Titus finished school together. Titus went on to become a hero, while Hayato works in a guitar/music store. Titus got him the job, since he does part time work there when he’s not on duty. Hayato has been working here for 2 years (he is currently 20 years old)Musical Talent + Other Talents:Hayato didn’t learn to play guitar until he started working in the music store. He bought a guitar for himself to practice at home. He’s not an expert yet but he’s pretty good. Hayato learned that he’s also good at fixing things despite never studying it in school, so he fixes guitars and other instruments. If he doesn’t know how, he will learn. He also does cashier work. Eventually he becomes the manager.Aside from music, Hayato can also play chess because Mr.Compress taught him how to playRoommates:Hayato and Titus end up becoming roommates after high school. Aizawa wanted him to work for his place and not have a handout. Hayato didn’t want to live at home and Shigaraki never had a stable living area, so Titus invited him to live with him instead and split the bills. Of course since Titus was a pro hero he made more money but Hayato would pay for his room and help whenever he could.Friendship:Titus gets on Hayato’s nerves a LOT. He’s always been attached to him like glue ever since that incident when he was 15. Although he bugs him, Titus knows when to take a step back if he sees Hayato get too upset.Hayato mostly stays in his room but on days where he doesn’t mind being around Titus, he will go to his room and sit on his bean bag (for emotional support) and just chills there.

Personality

Hayato can best be described as someone who is quiet and mysterious. He is a tough person to crack due to the walls he’s built around himself, so his vulnerability is not easy to see. He keeps his thoughts to himself since he is a private person and doesn’t trust easily. He also doesn’t like being the center of attention.He won’t mess with anyone unless provoked but even that doesn’t get far. He has mastered what is called a “death stare” where he glares at anyone who tests him intensely. The look alone is enough to get people to rethink their choices. If he does speak, his words are sharp and cut deep. While he did get into a lot of physical fights as a kid, he tries to avoid it as an adult.Although he does not like his wings touched, this also extends to the rest of his body. This changes slightly when Akio is around since Akio can be very hands on. This was a problem at first but Hayato adjusted slightly. He simply sends all his feathers away or move his wings if Akio insists on being close. His best friend Titus is the same way but he knows Hayato better than Akio to really over do it (sometimes he does forget though).MENTAL ILLNESS:Hayato has depression and has moments where he gets lost in it. He will seclude himself from everyone for days at a time without care. This either involves him being confined to his room while sleeping in complete darkness or he’ll leave his home. He can usually be found on the rooftops of skyscrapers overlooking the city. It’s the one place no one will disturb him. I wouldn’t say he’s an anxious person overall but anxiety does show when his true quirk is involved.He is no longer suicidal as he was as a teenager but the thoughts do come back sometimes. He has only attempted twice.He does have scars on his arm (one long one on each arm), I just haven’t drawn them. He mostly keeps his arms covered unless it’s too hot and he has a short sleeved shirt on or is shirtless. Titus knows about this incident but Akio does not. He does not share that information with him since he deems it not necessary. The scars speak for themselves.FEAR:Hayato’s worst fear is accidentally killing someone or hurting someone badly with his decay quirk. It is the reason why he does not like anyone touching him. It is the easiest way to piss him off but the true feeling is not anger but fear. However he still craves physical touch, which is why he adjusted slightly to Akio’s needs to be all up on him (like a cat, quite literally). It was very strange to be touched at first and his uncomfort was visible but it’s a work in progress.His usual go to if someone is getting too close is his death stare or to move away but if he has to speak he’ll just say “Don’t touch me” or “Don’t touch my wings”.To make matters worse, only Titus knows about Hayato’s true quirk. Akio does not. He learns about this later.

I'd actually prefer it if he just skateboarded but he never listens about the danger. To be fair I never listened much as a kid either. Doesn't matter what I'm doing, as soon as I feel something tug on my clothes, I know it's her in her cat form. It's not something I was used to before, so Akio always had to pry her off but now... it's fine. When she tires herself out she sleeps in my hoodie. Akio does the same thing too."Something to Share - Awkwardness: "I'm not good at comforting people when they're sad and it's even worse when they're crying. If you can't comfort someone with words, they'll expect you to comfort them with a hug and I'm not a hugger so... imagine how awkward that is. Your best bet is to go to someone else. If you need advice on a problem though I could give it a shot."About Scars: “My scars? Don’t worry about them.”Hayato’s Troubles: “Why does everybody think they can touch my wings whenever they want? Day after day I have to tell people to not touch me or stare at them until they get the message. It’s exhausting. I’m just trying to keep them safe.”

Clothing Style

Casual Wear
Hayato’s clothing style can best be described as baggy, dark clothing that are either plain or have graphics on it with bands he likes such as Pierce the Veil or Bring Me to the Horizon. His baggy clothing hides his skinny build but it’s also for comfort.He usually sticks to shades rather than color, so you’ll usually catch him wearing black, gray or white. If he does wear color, he’ll wear red (which is his favorite after black) or beige or brown (not his fav but just variety for color). He likes his colors on the dark side.Because of his wings, all of his shirts have two slits in the back where his wings cone out of. There’s no trouble putting his clothing on because his feathers can fly away from his body. He simply sends them away for a moment, puts his shirt on and send them right back. However this does mean his shirts either have to be cut or custom made.

Tattoos

- Hayato has black crows on his right forearm that symbolize his path towards freedom. The birds are small near his elbow and get bigger as they go near his hand. He wanted to be free from those that thought bad about him, free from his own mind that tormented him everyday. He got his tattoo on his 18th birthday. Titus went with him.

- He also has a big, black spider on his left waist. No particular meaning. He just likes it.

Instagram

Hayato is someone who barely uses instagram and only has it because his friend Titus insisted he get one. The original thought was that he had less photos, but I wanted the grid to be full so I added more photos.Hayato doesn’t show his face on IG, which explains all the mirror selfies. He doesn’t really care for photos of himself but occasionally he’ll feel like posting these.What he will post more photos of is the city landscape at night or things he likes/finds cool such as his guitar, a random cat or other miscellaneous things. He also has a photo of his tattoo up. These photos have a lot of time in between from when he posts them.Also feel free to either imagine the wings there or that he sends them away for the photos.

Miscellaneous

Favorite Sleeping Position:- Alone: Sleeps on his stomach. This keeps the most pressure off of his wings and allows his to fully spread out and move around.
- With Akio: Sleeps on his side. Either side works but once he gets in position he’s still for the night because of his wings. If he has a night where he needs to sleep on his stomach or sleeps early, Akio will compromise and sleep in his cat form near Hayato’s head.Other Sleep Details:
- Sleeps shirtless (to not restrict his wings) and wears long pants. Barefoot as well.
- Needs complete silence (the only noise he will accept is Akio purring while in his cat form)
- Needs the room to be pitch black
- Doesn’t snore
- Is a heavy sleeper
- Doesn’t like loud noises, especially in the morning (Titus manages to get on his nerves with this)
- Doesn’t like to be woken up abruptly or if he doesn’t need to be awake (Another thing Titus ignores)
- Once he closes his eyes he’s out like a light.

Kaen’s quirk allows for a phoenix to expel from his chest area in his body. The name of his Phoenix is Yakeru. As of now he can climb on Yakeru and use him for flight since the bird is big but as Kaen gets older so does Yakeru and he gets bigger.Kaen has fire resistance so Yakeru can have his flames on if Kaen is on his back. However Kaen’s clothes are not so he needs special clothing for this. If Yakeru doesn’t activate his flames, Kaen can be on him just fine.A big weakness Kaen has is that he is basically quirkless without Yakeru since the Phoenix is an extension of him. Kaen cannot produce flames himself, he can only control what he wants Yakeru to do through verbal commands. Quirk - Merman/aquatic telepathy

- River is a merman but doesn’t know that he is one until later in life. His mom purposely kept that information from him because she was bitter that his father (merman shapeshifter) wasn’t around.- To hide this, River’s mother fed him the lie that he is allergic to sea water. Because of this. River is not allowed to go to the beach or anywhere near sea water. He also does not know how to swim. When he does learn he can turn into a merman, he can’t get the hang of the swimming for a while.- River thinks his only quirk is the ability to understand and talk to sea animals. However this power can get really overwhelming at times.- This power was once discovered at an aquarium, as a child. Hearing all those ocean animals talk overloaded his brain and he freaked out. He didn’t want to go anymore. Now as an adult he would go, but he needs to wear noise canceling headphones. Without them, it can still be overwhelming if he stays too long.- He is confused as to how his quirk is aquatic telepathy and yet he can’t be near the water or touch these animals. He also hasn’t seen how bad his “allergic reaction” gets when in contact with sea water. It’s why he can’t let his curiosity go.

MEETING HAYATO AND AKIO

- Hayato and Akio were at the beach when they saw a crowd gathering around a dolphin that washed up on shore. Since River could understand the sea creature he ran up to them and started yelling at the people. However, River is also a foreigner so the people there got mad at him.- Hayato could care less about interfering but Akio did and wanted Hayato to help, so they went over. Since he had those big scary wings he ddidn’t have to say much but one line for people to back up. Everyone cleared away. River thanked them and wanted help to bring the dolphin back into the water because he couldn’t touch the water or the animal due to his "allergy".- Unfortunately it was too late for the dolphin so Hayato thought it was best to put it out of its misery. River didn’t want to but it wasbest, so Hayato decayed the creature with a feather, turning it to dust. River got a bit emotional seeing this.- Akio then invited River to sit with them for a bit since he was emotional. Hayato isn’t good with emotions so Akio took over. They learned about his aquatic telepathy quirk, which is how he knew the dolphin was suffering and what Hayato did was right. They also learned he was an American in Japan for a music competition, though he's not supposed to be on the beach.- After some time his mom found him on the beach and yelled out to him. When she got closer, she scolded him and dragged him out of there. He looked at Hayato and Akio like he didn’t want to leave but he was out of options and left.- Hayato and Akio eventually see River again, I just haven't decided how.

TALENT - PIANO

- River can play the piano really well. He’s been in various music recitals and competitions, winning multiple awards and trophies for his efforts. He is currently in Japan for a huge music competition (which is how he was able to meet Hayato and Akio in their country).- River’s mother put him to learn piano in hopes that it would distract him from wanting to be near the water or learning his origins. This only half worked, as River is still curious about his quirk.- He still loves the piano and it’s still his dream to perform for big names. He just wants to incorporate his origins with it.- He often plays piano music in his headphones to calm and quiet his mind if he’s heard too much noise for a day.

Purpose of Creation

- River was created because I wanted him to be in a polygamous relationship with Hayato and Akio. River's personality traits offer exactly what Hayato and Akio need separately, so he blends in well with them as a trio.- However, Hayato and Akio's sections will only include information about each other and not River, since I don't plan to build on River further for now.

Malik can manifest a swarm of spiders to attack the person.- If another person he is attacking is not afraid of spiders, he can still use that swarm of spiders to attack them.These manifestations are not illusions. They are very real and can harm someone or kill them. However, Malik can make the disappear.- A mental fear does not hinder Malik. If someone was afraid of being lonely or disappointing others, he could create a scenario where those who are important to that person walk away, or show the faces of the people they are disappointing. For example:- Hayato is afraid of hurting or killing others with his quirk. Malik once made the form of his little brother Kaen appear in front of him and was afraid of Hayato. Appearance- Malik is a tall guy, standing at 6 ft (182 cm). He has dark skin, black hair in short dreads locks and red eyes. He has a beard body type. He is also American. I have not decided from where.Personality- At first glance, Malik seems like a mysterious guy, either being alone or hanging out with his crew. But in reality it’s because he’s analytical. He uses his quirk constantly, reading people to know their fears and working out how that can be used in his benefit. Once he finds someone he deems worthy, he approaches them smoothly. He seems like a chill guy and honestly he is with the crew he does have. But there’s always a bigger agenda at play. Purpose of creation / LORE

- Malik was created as an alternative route to Hayato’s lore. Here, Hayato’s first boyfriend was Malik before he met Akio. This could still technically be canon, it would just change Hayato’s nsfw section about his sexual experience.- Malik wasn’t a good boyfriend to Hayato. Things started out well but there was a hidden motif underneath his closeness. He was interested in Hayato’s quirk and wanted to use him for a higher agenda. Someone with a decay quirk, combined with his fear manipulation quirk would be one deadly duo. Despite using his quirk against Hayato in a mind game of sorts (manifesting his brother Kaen to be afraid of Hayato) he couldn’t convince him to use his quirk for ill intentions and the two split.- Hayato does not like Malik and warns others to avoid him. He says once Malik catches on to your fear, it’s over.

Purpose of creation

- Noroi was someone I created just to give this cool quirk to, since it reminded me of Shigaraki’s decay. I also thought that her “disgusting” quirk (what Chisaki thinks) and existence is ironic to Chisaki’s dislike of germs. (Yet he still procreated with Shigaraki)- In an alternate au of sorts, she could technically be Hayato’s sister. However this could make Shigaraki his birth parent instead of Hawks. It disrupts his lore and also disrupts the existence of Kaen. But if Kaen did not exist, then Noroi and Hayato could be siblings.

About Haru:

• FIC SERIES

Haru is the child of Sethos and Scaramouche in my college AU series called “The Weight of New Beginnings”.The series focuses on his youth from newborn to under 3-4, so it is best to read it to know early lore. Any information from this point on will be about him as a late teen/adult.NAME:- In my series he is referred to as just “Haru” since Sethos does not have a canon last name. That bugged me, so I gave him one for just his lore.Haru: Japanese origin, means “sunlight & joy”
El Masri: Egyptian origin, translates to “The Egyptian”APPEARANCE:- Haru is half Egyptian, half Japanese but in the Genshin universe he would be considered half Sumerian, half Inazuman. Although he is mixed, his physical appearance doesn’t give that Egyptian side away since he mostly resembles Scara. He has indigo colored hair and thin, indigo eyebrows, his eyes are an indigo-ish lavender and he has pale skin. The back of his hair has lighter streaks of lavender like Scara. Haru has a slim build with narrow shoulders since he doesn’t work out, however his arms are lean, with subtle muscle because he plays darbuka drums (see music section for more info). He is of average height and he gets this from Sethos (yes I’m aware in Genshin Sethos is a bit shorter but in this AU I hc Sethos to be a bit taller than Scara).Vision:- Haru does not need glasses to see or read. He has perfect vision.Personality:- At first glance, Haru seems like an introverted and quiet kid who either keeps to himself or a selected few. He’s often seen engaging in quiet activities such as reading a book or feeding birds on his free time, which adds to people’s first impression. While that’s still true to his personality, people find that once they get to know him, there’s another side of him that shines though. When comfortable with someone or passionate about a tropic, Haru becomes quite the conversationalist. For example, if someone were to show interest about birds of any kind, he would have a bunch of facts he can share. If they have read the same book as him, he can talk about it for a long time. If they show interest in his music, he’s glad to talk about it or show them a thing or two about it. He also has a sense of adventure and is willing to try new things and travel to certain places. He has a mix of both his parents in certain aspects. About 70% Scara, 30% Sethos.- Haru is usually non confrontational but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t speak his mind if it comes down to it. While he usually observes first before responding, Haru does have tendencies of being impatient and stubborn. When he is upset, he has a lethal stare like his mother, Scara and he has the attitude to go with it. Even though Sethos has encouraged Haru to speak his mind, he has a habit of internalizing things until he explodes or breaks down.In a relationship, quality time is the most important to him. He is pretty shy with his romantic feelings but when he opens up, he loves for Kaito to be a part of his world just as he is with his. For example, learning to dance with Kai makes Haru incredibly shy, but he’s willing to do it to spend time with him.He has a secure attachment style.LANGUAGES:English:- Haru’s first language is English. This is for two reasons:1. For the sake of everyone understanding each other (Sethos, Scara, etc)
2. I do not speak Egyptian Arabic or Japanese- He uses this language the most to communicate with others such as friends, acquaintances and strangers and the one he thinks in.- He sounds clear and steady, so it’s easy to understand him in English. Regardless of what language he uses, he sounds calm since he doesn’t feel the need to project his voice louder than it needs to be. Only time you’ll hear it raised is if he’s laughing from jokes or in moments of fear.Egyptian Arabic:- Haru can speak Egyptian Arabic. Sethos taught him the language and being that most of his family is Sumerian such as Nahida, Tighnari, Cyno and others who appear in the story, he’s had a lot of practice with the language and the culture. He’s more expressive (talking, showing emotions, making jokes) in this language and can speak a bit faster since it flows naturally by the time he is older. His reading and writing is decent but since he has to juggle other languages it’s not perfect. He’s better in conversation.- If upset he’ll resort to either English or Arabic, depending on who he’s talking to. He won’t curse in Arabic though.Japanese:- Haru’s third language is Japanese. He had to put more effort into learning this language since the only person around him growing up who could speak it was Scara. Because of this, his Arabic is better than Japanese but he can still understand it and carry out conversation.- He is more soft spoken when using this language and naturally sounds more polite.- He knows enough to teach Kaito how to speak it again. His reading and writing needs work but that’s not the biggest priority for him at the moment. He wants Kaito to have the language down first, then they can review more complex things later. Teaching Kaito is a good refresher for his on skills too.- If upset, the only person who would understand him in this language best is Scara and his best friend Noa.Spanish:- Haru doesn’t speak Spanish but because his boyfriend Kaito does, he has come to learn what certain things mean over time. He knows the very basics such as hello, good bye or thank you. However to best understand this language, he mostly relies on reading a persons body language/ hand gestures.- For example, if Kaito told him “Ven aqui, quiero que veas esto” (come here, I want you to look at this) and waves his phone at him with a gesture of his head, Haru will know Kaito wants him to come over to see something on his phone.- Haru learns the meaning of the pet names Kaito calls him.Top 3:- Cariño (darling)

CULTURAL DILEMMA

- Haru’s biggest dilemma growing up with his mixed culture was feeling like he didn’t look the part for one versus another and maintaining a good balance of both.- While his personality traits come from both parents, appearance wise he looks more like Scara. Because of this he always felt like he just wasn’t Egyptian (Sumerian) enough despite knowing the language, eating the food, dressing the part and playing instruments.- He’s heard countless times how he and his sister don’t look related since she carries more of the Egyptian genes than he does. Because of this, she has the opposite problem of him. Both of them find this annoying because it’s so repetitive. (Kaito does mention this when they first actually talk as they’re getting to know each other but Haru lets it pass since he likes him.)- Sethos’ approach to this was to validate his feelings but to also reassure him that he wasn’t less than because oh how he looks. The culture is within, not on the outside.- Scara’s approach was more direct. He doesn’t think Haru should hold people’s words about him over his head and he doesn’t need to prove himself to anyone either. He comes from both cultures and that’s it.- Haru took their words to heart and applied it to how he carries himself and his culture well into teenage and adulthood. He dresses in both modern Japanese and Egyptian clothing separately or will find an outfit that blends both. (see style to learn more) It’s no longer to prove himself to others but to show his own pride for his cultures. If people can’t understand that then they’re just too simple minded (Scara’s influence).- When it comes to Kaito’s culture, it’s something he respects and learns to embrace but it’s not something he needs to carry 100%, so it doesn’t hold the same weight as balancing his own culture. He’ll eat Kaito’s food, listen to the music even though he doesn’t understand it and even learn to dance when Kaito teaches him but it’s not a culture he needs to make entirely his own. At the very least, Kaito is half Japanese so it helps Haru embrace that side of himself more and it gives him an additional person to talk to in that language when Kaito learns more.

Clothing Style

- If there’s anything that stands out about Haru, it’s his choice of clothing. Regardless of what culture he is representing, they contain a lot of patterns and designs.- For his Japanese side, Haru really loves to wear modern kimono’s. They’re simple, comfortable to wear, and their designs are very cool. He wears colors such as blue, black, and white but will also wear pops of color such as red, orange or yellow. His favorite kimonos are ones that have birds on them since he loves birds. He will pair this with shorts, jeans or wide leg pants.- To combine both cultures, Haru will wear a Kimono with patterns that closely resemble his Egyptian side.

- For his Egyptian side, this is where the patterns show more. Shapes such as triangles, rectangle's and the colors beige, brown, black and white are the most common. He will also wear colors such as green, red or yellow. He will also pair this with shorts, jeans or wide leg pants.To combine both cultures, he will wear a patterned shirt that has Japanese writing on it.I am aware these patterns are not 100% Egyptian. It’s mostly so you get the general idea of what he can wear that resembles this culture as close as possible.

Important to Note- Unless the outfit comes as a set (where both the top and bottom have patterns/designs on it), only one thing on him has to have patterns on it. This goes for both cultures. For example:- If Haru wears a colorful Kimono, the shirt underneath it and his pants have to be plain.- If the shirt or hoodie has a pattern on it, the pants have to be plain.- If the pants have patterns, then the shirt has to be plain.

For casual clothing Haru can do without the patterns but he will still wear color. He will also wear button downs with a T-shirt underneath, which is similar to when he wears modern kimonos.

FALL/WINTER- Haru does not like coats because of how bulky they are. To stay warm he will layer up by wearing turtlenecks, sweaters/hoodies or at the very least a warm windbreaker jacket. For accessories he likes to wear big scarfs to cover his head and neck, as well as earmuffs. He looks a bit silly (but cute) buried under a big scarf but it keeps him warm, so he doesn’t care. He does wear hats but the scarves and earmuffs get the job done for the most part, so he can do without it.

FormalHaru’s level of formality depends on where he’s going but what’s key about his style is that his shirts are always baggy and loose. He’ll either tuck them in or leave it out. He’ll pair this with his signature dangle earring.

Jewelry- Haru has his right ear pierced. His favorite kind of earrings are ones that dangle. He is mostly known for wearing earrings with birds on it but he has other designs for variety. Majority of his earrings are gifts from family.- Birds/Fans: Scara

MUSICAL TALENT: DARBUKA DRUMS

- Haru can play Darbuka Drums. He first showed interest in this when he was only a toddler and heard/saw the music being played in cartoons. He would just start tapping on whatever toys he had nearby or even pots if he got his hands on them. Scara at first considered it a ruckus but he saw the potential Haru had.- Both Sethos and Scara can play musical instruments but Sethos took it upon himself to get Haru an actual drum set that he can play (like for small kids, not the ones shown above) so he can actually practice and play. Not only did he want Haru to grow up playing instruments like them but Haru being connected to his mixed culture is very important to Sethos. Scara supports Haru is very proud of him when he plays. They both are.- As Haru got older the better he got and eventually got better drums. He’s very good and can play by ear. He just needs to hear something once and he can pick it up. He’s also very fast with his hands. Kaito’s (Haru’s boyfriend) nickname for him is “lightning hands”.- When Haru is about 16-17 years old he gets a drum set similar to the one pictured above. Expensive but worth it. Haru takes the best care of it. He enjoys playing drums on his free time to learn new songs and also while his sister dances.- This instrument is typically placed on your thigh as you hit it to play sitting, but can also be held by straps around your neck or placed on a stand to play standing up.- I’ve created a playlist of Egyptian/Arabic music that Haru would listen to, combined with some darbuka tracks. He has his own collection of books at home but will also spend a lot of time at the bookstore where his father works at to read until he’s done for the day and takes Haru home. As a child he resorts to being panicked and scared and has his fainting episodes. As he gets older he’s not openly screaming and crying but he is still a major fainting risk. He’s incredibly nervous leading up to the blood draw and as soon as begins he’s out like a light. Scara or Sethos are usually next to him to catch him, so they just hold him close while the procedure takes place. Even if it’s for a vaccine, Haru is already scared of needles in the event that they DO make him bleed, so he still faints.- When he moves out to live with Kaito, Haru usually stalls on appointments and will refuse to go on his own. Kaito takes him to his appointments and helps him through it. Haru faints but Kaito holds him everytime.- His usual symptoms days prior to appointments are either visible nervousness, paleness (the day of), being zoned out or actively irritated. Irritation is not for every scenario. Kaito understands and doesn’t take it to heart, but he also draws a clear boundary if Haru overdoes it with his snappiness. Kaito doesn’t give him a pass to talk to him that way.- Scara and Sethos understand as well but is Scara faster to shut it down with fowardness. Sethos’ approach isn’t as forward but he also draws a boundary.- If he’s not too irritated Haru will try to express that he’s not in the mood. It’s the best option. He doesn’t want to actually snap at them.Other fainting details:- Easiest way to piss off Haru or to make him extremely embarrassed is to make his fainting episodes a big deal. To a stranger, they might try to wake him, call an ambulance or shout to others. Unfortunately they do not know any better, which is why Haru tries his best to not faint in public.- Haru’s blood phobia is not something he likes to openly talk about with people, which has its pros and cons.- Kaito did not make a huge deal out of Haru fainting the first time but he was also not fully aware of the extent of Haru’s blood phobia, so naturally he was alarmed. When Haru woke up and was able to explain what was going on, Kaito kept a mental note of it for any future episodes.- Kaito’s approach to Haru fainting becomes much different later on in their relationship, compared to how Sethos and Scara dealt with it. If in a safe location, Kaito tells Haru to pass out rather than to fight it like Haru’s parents do. This isn’t for every scenario. If possible Kaito tries to keep him awake, but if it’s just too much (like a blood draw), Kaito gives Haru the okay to let go and faint. This makes Haru feel like he’s in control of the situation, rather than feeling anxious about trying not to faint.- If Haru faints in public while with his parents or Kaito, they will have Haru lean against them close and pretend that he’s just sleeping, so others don’t notice what’s going on. It’s what Haru wanted, so that idea works best.- When Haru was really young, Scara felt extreme guilt for his blood phobia (the events of the fic will tell you why). Over time, he hasn’t let it go but he’s learned to deal with it. What happened, happened and there’s no going back from it.- October is the hardest month out of the year for Haru to deal with because of the blood, gore and violence that is used in images, videos, movies or decorations during Halloween. Haru has a strong dislike for Halloween since something always seems to trigger him. He likes the nicer side of October like rainy weather, a good book and warm drinks.- Haru doesn’t pass out often but doctor’s appointments and the month of October is when his fainting episodes pick up or he feels the most sick.- Haru is NOT an anxious person overall. The only time anxiety shows is if when blood is involved.

About Kaito

When he turned 18 years old, he got his license.- He’s considered a new driver but he tries to be as safe as possible. If there’s some idiot on the road he’ll mutter something in Spanish to vent his frustrations but he wouldn’t go into road rage towards them. He’ll find a way to avoid it.- What will upset him is if his car gets scratched, whether that be by his own doing or someone else. He’s not perfect but he values his car and wants it in the best condition possible.- The only habit he has that can be considered “bad” is that he likes to drive with loud music on.- Despite being half Puerto Rican, not all of his music is Spanish. (See the music section for more information) He controls the music in his car but will let Haru take over if he wants to. While Haru does find enjoyment in Kaito’s music and will sing along or tap his thighs and feet, if it’s too loud or overwhelming Kaito will lower it. CLOTHING STYLE

Casual Wear:- Kaito’s style involves wearing tank tops with casual button down shirts (either plain or with shapes), wearing a t-shirt with a vest and jeans or a graphic tee with jeans or jorts. He will also wear cargo pants.- If you wanted to put a label on the combined type of “style” it would be closest to soft boy streetwear.- Although he can look preppy, the point of the vests isn’t necessarily to have a good boy look. He’ll pair this with jeans, sneakers, snap backs, jewelry or watches to make it more like streetwear.- Kaito isn’t afraid of color. If it looks good, he’s wearing it.- Although not pictured, he will wear graphic tees with Japanese designs to rep that side of him.

Summer Season:- Kaito can still wear his casual wear in the summer but if it’s too hot he practically lives in a tank top. He mostly wears white but as mentioned earlier he’s not afraid of color. If he’s not in a tank top then he’s shirtless. Whether he wants to or if his curls aren’t looking good a particular day, he likes to wear bandanas aside from snapbacks. He will wear jeans or jorts with this look.- If he’s playing basketball he will wear a tank top and basketball shorts.

Fall/Winter:- Just like Haru, Kaito does not like to wear coats. Not only are they bulky but he runs hot, so too much heat isn’t good for him.- When temps drop really low, he usually goes for a hoodie or a hoodie+thick jacket combo. He usually keeps them unzipped to not overheat unless it’s snowing or there’s a strong wind chill. He will wear gloves for his hands since they do get cold, or he’ll just keep them in his jacket. For hats he’ll just put his hoodie on or a snapback.- If it’s not too cold he’ll wear a pullover sweater.

Formal Wear:- Depending if Kaito is attending a family party or a formal event such as a wedding for example, this determines if he shows up in a just a button down with slacks or no slacks, or wearing a full suit.- One thing for certain is that for these events Kaito’s wardrobe is darker in color.- Kaito does not wear ties and doesn’t know what it means to button up his shirt lol. He always has at least 2 or 3 buttons undone to show his chain, chest and doesn’t wear tank tops underneath unless he feels like it. Fortunately for Haru he likes this look so Kaito gets away with it. The black shirt gets him every time.- Kaito wears black shades to complement the look. If not then he’ll wear his regular glasses. He will also wear a watch on his wrist and rings on his fingers.

Vacation Wear:- Very loose button down shirts that are light in color. Doesn’t fully button them up either. Can be a bit formal with collared shirts, depending where he is but he’s comfortable. Can be worn with jeans, shorts, or if the outfit is a set.

PJS: (For sleep and/or lounging around the house)- Unless the temperature in the house is too cold or he feels like wearing it, a shirt is nonexistent to Kaito in his house. He’ll walk around shirtless in long pants, sweatpants or shorts. If he is clothed, he’ll pair it with a tank top, t-shirt or a hoodie (last option).- He’s barefoot for the most part but will wear slides to walk around. Again if it’s too cold he’ll wear socks but not to sleep at least lol

- Kaito is a really good dancer. Top 3 types of dance are salsa, bachata and merengue. He has good footwork, hip movement and can lead well.- His mom, Marina taught him how to dance.- He loves dancing, so he gets really into this.- Haru not being able to dance is not an excuse for not dancing with Kai, whether in public or private. Kai DOES teach him, so he can have a permanent dancing partner and not just dancing with family. - Because of the funk pop music Kai likes, he’s been teaching himself to play guitar to play along with what he’s listening to. He’s not that good yet, but it’s something he likes to do on his free time.- He doesn’t own a fancy guitar but would like to get a better one someday, especially electric. It would match better with his songs, but he needs to get the basics down first.

Sports

Wall Handball- Wall handball (street version) is a game where teams of 2 must hit a small blue ball back and forth towards the wall with their hands. The ball cannot bounce on the floor twice, nor can it be hit by the same person twice. If the person fails to hit the ball or it goes out of bounds, the other team scores.- Think of it as volleyball or tennis except there is no other person hitting the ball back at you, just the wall.- Kaito really enjoys playing this game with his friends at the park after school. He can get competitive but he’s still playing just for fun. He knows the other men at the court well and so they let him use a wall or sometimes he and his friends will join them for a game. They were the ones who got him into the sport in the first place.- It can be hard on the hands, so there’s an option to play with gloves. Kaito is used to the feeling, so he plays barehanded.

Basketball:Another game Kaito plays for fun. It is not restricted to his friends only, and can be played both indoors and outdoors. He will play with his classmates during gym time or with his friends after school.- Kaito has no interest in playing for the school team. He just wants to play when he feels like it.

Other Hobbies: Videogames

- For some major downtime, Kaito enjoys playing videogames. This can be in the evenings on weekdays or on the weekends while he’s having his morning coffee.- He can get competitive and loud when playing, to which his mom has had to scold him multiple times, especially when he’s cursing.- He enjoys multiplayer games so he can play with his friends but he will also play solo player, story driven games.- Haru cannot sit with him if he’s playing games that contain blood, such as shooting games. Any other game? He can sit with him no problem. Kai's Job - Lifeguard

During the summer Kaito is a lifeguard. He started off as a volunteer as soon as he turned 15 but now he is employed for the summer months at outdoor and indoor pools.When Kaito was 5 years old, he lost his father due to a drowning incident. He was stuck in a rip current he could not get out of. Although it was not his fault, Kai grew up with the guilt that he was just a helpless kid that couldn’t do anything. His mom Marina became terrified to send him into the water but Kai’s family snapped her out of this, saying that her fear would only make another tragedy happen like this again.As Kai got older, he vowed to learn how to swim and to become a lifeguard so that no kid would have to grow up without a parent.While he loves the water, this doesn’t mean he’s in the water all the time. Sometimes there are no incidents. Sometimes a kid or an adult needs help. Regardless, he takes his role as a lifeguard VERY seriously.I haven’t decided if this would be a long term thing for him but it’s something that he is doing currently. Eventually he could possibly lifeguard at an actual beach when he’s older but he would have to train against Mother Nature where the water isn’t still and rip currents (what took his dad) are a major risk. He HAS to learn how to spot them, how to get out of them and how to save someone stuck in one. He’s at the pools for now to gain experience.His eye vision does not affect his job. He almost barely made the cut for the job because of it but that just means he had to work harder than everyone else. His ability to pay attention, know first aid and his swimming ability helped him get in. He can wear his prescription sunglasses on the job but he takes them off to enter the water. Sometimes he doesn’t wear glasses at all but he can still see.

Kai uses his instragram a good amount. It may not look like he posts a lot but it’s because he would post multiple photos per post.He would post photos of himself but mostly the adventures he goes on. Summer is the best time for this, where he can post the views of the water, his friends, or wherever he takes his mom’s dog Chispa. FEARS - uncanny valley

- Kaito has a strong dislike for things that resemble uncanny valley such as antique dolls, mannequins with faces and wax figures.- The emotional presence of a person is important to him. He wants to be able to read a person through their eyes or body language. Dolls, mannequins with faces and wax figures don’t allow him to do that. He should be able to read their faces but he can’t. They just stare.- Mannequins without faces are okay for him. They’re just props with clothes on them. But with faces? They’re pretending to be real and he doesn’t like that.- This means that he’s not scared of the object itself. It’s the false sense of something that is appearing to be real when it isn’t. But since most if not all dolls have faces and wax figures are meant to have faces, that means he just doesn’t like them either.- Now if it’s something that doesn’t have a face BUT it’s MEANT to be scary? (Ex: Slenderman) The fear still applies. It’s a big “oh hell no”- Haru has a bad habit of sometimes freezing when he’s lost in thought. Since Haru has a blank stare, the overall look unsettles Kaito too. He will either call his name or tap him to get him to snap out of it.- This is a fear and not a phobia because it’s not something that is debilitating to his life and he doesn’t need to see a doctor for it. Kaito doesn’t express his fear like a scared child. Dolls, mannequins and wax figures unsettle him. The creepier they are the more uncomfortable he feels. This is not a fear that is triggered often.- Here are signs that he’s uncomfortable by their presence:- He freezes, not in fear but in hyper-awareness as he processes what he’s looking at. He’s also checking if the doll shows any signs of moving. If it moves that only makes the fear worse.- This usually involves him talking to himself in his head (in Spanish) as he tries to make sense of it or to calm himself down.- His facial expression is one closest to disgust. Furrowed brows and tight or pursed lips.- May have tension in his jaw or hands- Will want to move away from said object and won’t want to look at it again. This means he loses interest in his surroundings.- Will make a joke out of the situation or throw in some sarcasm to hide how uncomfortable he is. If not then he will change the subject.OTHER FEARS (#2):Haru Passing Out:- Just because Kaito doesn’t make Haru passing out a big deal doesn’t mean he doesn’t find it scary. He just internalizes due to Haru’s wishes and to not stress him out further.- The first time Haru passed out in front of him did worry him greatly. He’s learned how to deal with him in those moments or to even help him before it gets to that point.- If Haru is going for a blood draw, Kaito goes in there with the expectation that he’s going to faint, so it’s not as scary. Even if Haru vomits it’s manageable.- If in any other scenario Haru were to faint as in a sudden, silent drop, Kaito would be terrified. Even worse if Haru passes out alone or Kaito isn’t able to catch him, due to risk of injury.- The # 1 reason Kaito dislikes seeing Haru this way is because he looks dead. Pale face/lips and limp movement with zero resistance. Kaito talks to Haru gently to wake up, but it’s mostly to calm down the spiraling thoughts in his own head.- Fainting episodes don’t happen often but pick up around appointments and October because of Halloween.- He will get very angry if he finds out someone triggered Haru on purpose.——————————————————————————————————————- The glassy eye look Haru has before fainting is different from the uncanny valley stare that Kaito doesn’t like. Haru is real and the stare is him shutting down from fear, not from zoning out. It triggers a protectiveness in Kaito to do something. However when Haru has the blank stare from being lost in thought and not due to his blood phobia, then it unsettles Kaito. He’s still real but just not present.If Kaito doesn’t see what’s triggering Haru, then the looks can be confusing but he has learned to tell the difference between the two. Here’s how:1. When Haru is zoned out, he usually has his arms crossed or he’s leaning on something.2. His color is still on his face and his breathing is normal.3. Will snap out of it when his name is called or he’s tapped on his shoulder.4. Will sometimes come back on his own. Zoning out is a temporary thing and he doesn’t zone out often. Scara hates this habit and Haru learned it unsettles Kaito for a different reason, so he tries to not overdo it.5. His eyes are unfocused but he doesn’t look like he’s fading.Here’s how Kaito can tell something is wrong:1. If Haru is taking long to respond when Kaito calls him or taps on his shoulder.2. He’ll ask Haru if he’s okay, if he’s dizzy or if he’s still here. If he confirms he’s dizzy or he can’t respond, Kaito will check his eyes. If he’s not blinking or blinking slow, trying to stay awake, Kaito knows he’s slipping. He’ll reassure him he’s okay and will get him to sit down.3. Hand tremors, especially if the blood is on Haru. If not he’s checking for the loss of muscle tension. His arms aren’t crossed, just there. For his feet, there’s usually a stumble in his step or his knees buckle.5. He has an older, Irish twin sister named Naoko and their age difference is about 1 year, 1 month and 4 days.When the Sato’s decided that they wanted children, Mr. Sato said that he wanted a boy. By this time he had also stopped calling Naohiro “dad” and only called him by his first name when referring to him.Still, this situation didn’t stop him from getting piercings. The Big Fight:Noa had contacted Asami to bring him and his stuff home early and to not tell Noahiro about it, already knowing what was coming. He even took his piercings off, just not in the mood to hear anything that day. He packed and left as soon as Haru went to class, without warning. If Haru wasn’t going to talk to him, then there was no point in staying in school, and Haru wouldn’t care about his absence anyway.Naohiro wasn’t home that day until after work. Noa was upstairs in his room on his chair, just quietly reflecting on everything that had happened. As soon as Asami told him that Noa was home the ranting started. Noa was home earlier than he should have been, which means he didn’t bother to finish school. He started spewing all kinds of bad things about Noa, once again calling him a disappointment. Noa was still upstairs, listening and his legs shaking. Eventually he had enough and came downstairs to get into it with his dad. Noa got really disrespectful, cursing him out and everything. Asami tried to get involved again like she always did but Naohiro was so upset that he shoved her hard and she fell. Noa may not have had the best relationship with his mother but this made him REALLY lose it and he started a fist fight with his dad. He was older this time and less caring and so it started with them shoving each other around until Noa started beating his dad instead. Naoko was not present for this because she was still in college for finals.That day Scara and Haru’s sister had been at the bookstore with Sethos. Scara was working on his laptop and Haru’s sister was usually there after school until it was time to go home (she is about 16 here). Sethos had been driving the whole family home, passing by the neighborhood to get to their house (Noa and Haru live on the same block, just a few houses down) when he started hearing shouting and Asami running out of her house to call for help. He parked the car instantly and got out asking what happened, when she shouted that Noa and his dad were fighting. Sethos didn’t hesitate to sprint over and Scara looked at Haru’s sister, telling her to not get out of the car for nothing and to not tell Haru at all, before he got out too. When Sethos entered the house, it was bad. They were in the middle of the fight, knocking stuff over and Noa just completely lost in a rage Sethos had never seen while beating Naohiro. It took a LOT of strength for Sethos to haul Noa out of the house, as Asami went towards her husband. Noa was completely unhinged with bloody fists, shouting out that he shoved his mom and that he was going to kill Noahiro. Scara had tried to step in to help, but Sethos refused to let him get close, so Scara had to resort to shouting at Noa to stop thrashing. Someone in the neighborhood had called the cops and soon sirens could be heard. Sethos and Scara really tried to get Noa away from the house, possibly taking the long way of hauling Noa to theirs, just so that he wouldn’t be arrested. Still, this didn't happen.By this time, Cyno has been a cop for several years and so when he hears the location of the call and knows that it’s Noa’s residence (because he and Tighnari also know Noa), he responds to it with fellow officers.
Cyno doesn’t put anyone above the law, knowing them or not. But when he arrived on scene to see Sethos holding Noa down, he was determined to get Noa to relax before he made it worse for himself. Sethos recognized it was Cyno when he wanted Sethos to let him go, but Sethos refused, knowing that Noa would surely run back. Sethos decided to pin Noa to the ground himself, so he didn’t hit Cyno and the other officers. However, he was still trashing and it was hard to cuff him, even after being yelled at by the other officers. When they did and Sethos let him go, he was still worked up and resisting by thrashing to be let go but he did not take off running. Naohiro still managed to have some fight in him despite being busted up and shouted that he wanted to press charges on his son. Sethos and Scara pleas to the cops to not hurt Noa was left on deaf ears and they could only watch helplessly as Noa was taken away. Since Scara sees Noa like a son to him, he turned to Naohiro and almost lost it but Sethos held him back, not wanting him to fight too and the cops that were there were telling Sethos and Scara to leave. Scara got a few more words in before Sethos got him back to the car. Scara wanted to do something and Sethos was on his side. They weren’t going to leave Noa like that and so they drove straight to the precinct.Unfortunately Cyno told them that Noa would have to stay there for the night. He was charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct/Public Disturbance and Property Damage. He was also way too worked up to be let go and a threat to himself, and needed time to cool off under their supervision. Sethos and his family had no choice but to go home but knew that he would be in good hands with Cyno. Nobody slept that night. The adrenaline was still present. They had seen Noa get into scuffles or silly fights with Haru but never unhinged like that. Sethos replayed the image of Noa in the house. He told Scara that if they didn’t show up, Noa would’ve definitely killed his dad.Sethos was there the first thing in the morning and bailed Noa out. He didn’t know if Naohiro would bother to do so, but he wasn’t going to wait to find out. Cyno advised Sethos that Noa stay with him while Noa’s charges were pending. Sethos definitely wasn’t going to let Noa go back to his house with his father there. Noa was not happy he was bailed out but didn’t say anything. He was quiet on the way out but definitely not calm. There was a simmering anger written all over his face and buried underneath that could be let out at any moment, so Sethos kept his words short. He took him to his house and instead of talking more, a meal was prepared for him. Noa didn’t bother to eat much. Scara knew that watching Noa like a hawk would piss him off further, but he also had his daughter in the house and needed to keep her safe if Noa got angry again, so Noa was watched at all times. He didn’t hover but he was definitely within view. Naohiro found out Noa was with Sethos and his family but none of them went to get him.These charges did not stay. Despite having to get stitches from the injuries he got from Noa, Naohiro’s narcissistic ways made him downplay the situation since he could not legally drop the charges. He didn’t want anyone to know that his son was in jail, nor that he started it and got beaten because of it. He refused to cooperate and ultimately with no case, the charges against Noa were dropped after a few days. Asami denied being shoved, so Naohiro didn’t get in trouble either.Only after those few days was when Asami showed up to Sethos’ house to get Noa back and to tell him the charges were dropped. Sethos answered the door but when Scara heard what she was asking for, Scara followed Sethos outside. He demanded to know what happened since Noa refused to say anything. Even after her explanation, it only made Scara angrier and he gave her a piece of his mind. He didn’t hold anything back, saying that the situation escalated far more than it should have and he didn’t want to let Noa go to her. When she tried to say that Naohiro wasn’t in the house at the moment, Scara didn’t care. He shamed her for staying with a man like that all these years, since one day wasn’t going to make a difference.But Noa was an adult and could decide for himself. He opened the door, muttering about how he could make his own decisions and was tired of being under constant surveillance and walked out of the house to start walking to his house. Sethos called out to him but Noa ignored them. There was nothing they could do and so Asami followed her son home.His father returned to the house later on at night but he didn’t bother with Noa. Noa was locked up in his room. However, Noa finding out his charges were dropped was a mistake. As soon as he knew he was a free man, he grabbed a few of his things and slipped out in the middle of the night. Asami only noticed when she went to check on him the next morning. Naohiro was angry again but decided it was best that Noa was out of the house because he didn’t want him there anyway.When Asami knocked on Sethos’ door again to ask if Noa had come back and found out that he didn’t, she started panicking. She couldn’t reach his phone, track him, nothing. Even his bike was gone. Scara really tore her alive and would’ve done more had Sethos not gone in between them. Scara cursed at her and then at himself for letting Noa go and that he should have dragged Noa back even if he fought him. They drove around for a while to find Noa. Nothing. Noa was completely gone.Telling Haru:When Sethos and Scara came to pick up Haru at his dorm to bring his things home for the summer, Kaito had been in the room with him helping him pack some final things. They left Haru’s sister with Nahida. Haru was quick to ask if they had seen or heard from Noa. They looked over at Noa’s empty bed but didn’t say anything except for telling Haru to sit. Haru didn’t like this and refused to sit but Kai made him sit down. Sethos and Scara sat on the chairs in the room and began to explain the situation. How they pulled up to Noa having a bad fight with his dad and how Noa was arrested. Haru was mortified to hear that. He was about to stand up in shock but Scara stopped him and told him to listen. They explained how they bailed Noa out, he stood with them for a few days until his charges got dropped but he went back home. Sethos braced himself for the worst part and told him Noa disappeared. Haru couldn’t hold back anymore and stood up asking what. He thought Noa went home, that he was just doing his own thing, not arrested and now missing. He asked if they checked everywhere and they did. He got mad at Scara for not telling him Noa was with them but to be fair, he also did not tell Scara Noa left in the first place, which led to his next question as to why Noa was home so early in the first place.Haru turned around to lean on his dresser with closed fists and muttered about how it was his fault. When Scara asked him to explain, Haru turned back around and did. How Noa would get drunk at parties and have sex with God knows who and bring them back to their dorm to have sex. Finding Noa:One night while Haru was staying over at Kai’s place he got a call from Noa on his phone. Hobbies

Camping- Because Kenji is used to staying at skii lodges since he was a kid, the concept of camping isn’t really that foreign to him. The only thing that’s different is the lack of snow and it depends if you go for traditional camping, cabins or trailers.- Kenji is used to cabins where he can sleep on a bed, have a bathroom with a shower (depends on the type of cabin because some can have communal showers) and store food and gear better. Yoshiro dies at the age of 29.
